Rock L Butler Middle School Band grades 5-6

Mrs. Morgan Shaffer's students can choose to begin instrument lessons as soon as 5th grade. Beginners will take weekly lessons from her for the first year and then perform in the district wide spring band concert in May. In 6th grade, the students continue with weekly band lessons, but will also attend band class for credit where they will rehearse with other 6th graders and perform a combined piece at the Holiday concert in December as well as the Spring concert in May.

As part of their specials music rotation, 5th and 6th grade will see Mrs. Shaffer every other day for 7 weeks and 6th graders also have a music extension course. During this classes,  Mrs. Shaffer says "We have a lot of fun exploring different sounds!"

Wellsboro High School Marching Band grades 7-12

Students in band from grades 7 through grade 12 all participate in spring marching band. This combined group will march in several local parades including the Little League Opening Day Parade, Memorial Day Parade, Pet Parade, and the annual Laurel Festival Parade. Because this is a large group across two schools, practices are held after school in the spring.

Students can choose to be part of the fall marching band which performs at football games, the homecoming parade, and the Festival of Lights parade during Christmas on Main Street in December. Rehearsals for this begin in the summer and include a week long band camp and then continue with after school rehearsals throughout the season.
